How we can help

Hamilton Funerals offers a comprehensive funeral service. Our phone is answered 24 hours seven days a week by a member of our staff and we are available to meet with you at any time.

Our business is fully equipped with our own transfer vehicles, hearses and mortuary facility. Your loved one remains in our safe keeping from the moment we take them in to our care until the funeral service and then on to cremation or burial.

We have both male and female funeral staff, who will assist you to arrange the funeral or memorial service you envisage for your loved one.

Our Services Include

Personalised Funeral Arrangements

We will meet with you either at our office in Pymble, or at a place of your choice, to discuss the details of the funeral service you would like.

Caskets and Coffins

A wide range of caskets and coffins are available, catering for all tastes. Using environmentally sound plantation timber, cardboard and wicker.

Mourning Cars and Hearses

We provide both mourning car and hearse. Our funeral cars are 1971 Classic Mercedes Benz 300SEL, however, we can also source other vehicles to suit your wishes.

Chapel

We have chapel facilities at our premises at Pymble for small congregations as well as for viewings.

Floral

In consultation with you, we organise floral tributes for the casket and church or chapel, either with our florist or with the florist of your choice.

Orders of Service and Other Printing Services

If required, we will create and organise the printing of Orders of Service, Holy Cards, Memorial Cards and Thank You Cards.

Clergy or a Civil Celebrant

We will arrange clergy or a civil celebrant for the service. We cater for both religious and non-religious services.

Catering

We can assist you by providing the details of catering companies that specialise in funeral catering.

Musical Arrangements

If you require, we can discuss and provide you with a list of suggested musicians including an Organist, Soloist or Piper.

Funeral Notices

We will prepare and book the newspaper funeral notices. We can organise notices in local papers as well as interstate and overseas publications if required.

Viewing

We can arrange for the viewing of your loved one prior to the service.

Additional Services

Prepaid and Prearranged Funerals

Prepaid and prearranged funerals allow you to choose the funeral service you would like.

Details you may wish to consider are whether you would prefer burial or cremation, where the ceremony will take place, the celebrant/clergy, the flowers, music and press notices. Some people prefer time to think about these arrangements.

Prearranged

A prearranged funeral allows you time to think about and record your wishes with the funeral director at a time that is convenient with you. You do not make a payment at this stage.

Prepaid

A prepaid funeral also allows you time to think about and record your wishes with the funeral director, but you pay in advance for the funeral you choose. By covering future funeral costs, it may lessen financial pressure on your family.

By choosing a prepaid funeral plan, the price of the funeral is fixed at today’s prices. The money paid is invested with Funeral Plan Management, an independent, secure financial institution.

Repatriation

Hamilton Funerals offers comprehensive repatriation services whether bringing a loved one home to Australia or making arrangements to transport them overseas. We also can arrange for a funeral service in any part of Australia.

Once it has been decided that you require repatriation services, the following steps will be taken:

Transfer of deceased from their location to our funeral home, including transfer to or from the airport or seaport;
Embalming and hygienic preparation in accordance with transportation regulations;
Cremation services if requested;
Attendance at relevant embassies, consulate and government offices to obtain permits and authorities;
Booking and confirmation of flights;
Communication with other funeral homes and relevant authorities in the country of origin/destination.
